Job Purpose & Scope:
1. Perform the required preventive, corrective & curative maintenance activities for Zirku Island Telecom Systems in an efficient / professional manner .
2. Generate technical reports for the performed activities.
3. Ability to work in offshore platforms (Buoys).
4. Plan maintenance activities in accordance with manufactures recommendation and develop/update effective procedure and test schedules.
5. Perform and conduct 3rd and 4th maintenance levels on site system.
6. Efficient contribution in implementation phases (installation & commissioning) of any telecom projects in Zirku Island and generate the required reports as applicable.
7. Team work sprit with the capability to accommodate extra load of work - if required.
8. Perform limited SCADA & Networking activities - as required.
Principal Accountabilities:
Carries out all the activities related to the Network Systems Operations and user support in the section, such as:
1. Organizes the installation, tuning, removal, re-installation, maintenance, repair and testing of Telecommunications equipment and ensures full compliance with standards and HSE rules.
2. Establishes clear work program objectives for subordinates, and lead them in the achievement of these.
3. Participates in the supervision of maintenance contracts covered under the provisions of original supply agreements and allocate work in accordance with ZADCO requirements, ensuring that work is carried out correctly and the equipment is labeled adequately before leaving the laboratory, and commissioned correctly in accordance with standard procedures.
4. Ensuring day-to-day troubleshooting,
5. Coordinating with Client Support - switching team for new physical network connections.
6. Carrying out planned and scheduled installation/upgrades, and ensuring minimal interruptions for smooth operations.
7. Coordinating with ITTN / ITCS HQ for the required installation and relocation of ZADCO Networking equipment. Tests and checks proper functionality.
8. Conducts periodic tests to ensure system availability / performance and stability.
9. Attends and traces ITTN/ZR equipments / system faults and report any noticed thresholds. Provide immediate backup / replacement whenever required.
10. Report any unauthorized use of applications, which may cause an impact on network performance.
11. Collect / Update H/W addresses and back-up configuration for each network equipment and build-up a reporting table for H/W movement in coordination with ITTN HQ
12. Follow up contractors for maintenance and repairs.
13. Carry out any other similar or related duties as and when directed by the Sub Team Leader.
HSE Requirements:
1. Directs the work in accordance with HSE recommendations. Ensures and participates to regular HSE tool boxes.
2. Provide feedback to ITTN-ZR Sub TL regarding observance of HSE rules by personnel under his supervision.
3. Ensures proper segregation of disposed materials and proper housekeeping at work sites.
4. Perform duties in a safe, professional and efficient manner, complying with the HSE requirements related to all job activities, and report any unsafe and near miss conditions with regards to HSE.
5. Maintain proper and updated knowledge of the Company's HSE Procedures, rules, and regulations and abide by them at all times.
6. Ensure working in a safe manner and be aware of HSE procedures.

Monitor and advise on proper application of "Permit to Work" system, conducting gas and atmospheric tests, participating in actual "Job Watch" as and where necessary; such as hot tapping, mechanical sealing/plugging, entry into dangerous confined spaces and ensuring that all Safety regulations and practices are adhered to.
8. Liaise and coordinate with HSE Department/Technical on matters related to studying & commenting on engineering designs and drawings pertaining to modifications of plant, equipment, installations or projects works to ensure adherence to HSE rules, standards and codes of practice, during all phases of implementation on Site.
9. Assist the man in-charge at the scene in case of emergency situations; investigate incidents resulting in injuries, property damage or near misses, to evaluate and determine causes and preventive measures. Prepare reports and make recommendations including action plans to alleviate such situations and take preventative measures. Maintain follow up to ensure adequate implementation of recommendations.
10. Investigate incidents of oil or environmental pollution, and liaise with concerned departments to implement a cleaning programme; prepare reports on such incidents together with comments and observation.
11. Coordinate, monitor, prepare agenda and follow-up the implementation of recommendations raised from the Site HSE committees, other HSE related meetings, and HSE audit surveys by third parties.
12. Develop training programmes in HSE principles and practices, including practical exercises; develop and assess orientation programmes aimed for promoting accident and fire prevention among personnel and supervise specific fire and emergency drills for site personnel.
13. Ensure that mandatory safety, environmental and inspection records are updated and available at all times for inspection by Company auditors, Government inspectors and recognized agencies; prepare and discuss a variety of ad-hoc and regular reports and statistics
